Why am I starting (yet another) blog?

Ever since the days of xanga I have enjoyed blogging as a means of sharing thoughts with my friends. Two people I know recently started "happiness blogs" which were a collection of things that make them smile. I like this. So im copying their idea.

My first post is dedicated to the original list of things that make a person happy-- "My favorite things" sung by Maria (Julie Andrews) in the Sound of Music.

Rain drops on roses, whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens, brown paper packages tied up with string-- those are just a few of her favorite things : )
